Kitchen Island with Angled Stretcher Base

If you like the way a stretcher bar across the base of a table looks and are close to pulling the plug, you might want to think first about how it will work for your seating.     Stretcher bars are a nice design but can be problematic since chairs will not push under the table and seating can be uncomfortable for anyone sitting at the ends. Our customer loved the look of the stretcher but chose to have the base stretcher angled to avoid the issue with her seating.   This lovely 52” x 2” thick old oak table was designed at kitchen island height, 36”, and was a great way to combine the look with a more practical, less problematic base solution. Included features on this kitchen island: smooth texture preference, Georgian trestle base with modified angle stretcher,  2” thick old oak,

Snow white base and antique walnut finish for top. As seen: $2894   Available in old pine or old oak and in all sizes. Call for quote.
